PROMOTER AND PARTICIPANTS
1. The Promoter is Canon CEE GmbH, Oberlaaer Straße 233, 1100 Vienna, Austria (“Promoter”).
2. All entrants (“Participants”) must be Cyprus residents aged 18 or over.
3. All Participants must be registered in Canon CPS system as Silver, Gold or Platinum level members.
4. Employees of Promoter, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
5. By participating in complimentary check, clean and firmware update promotion, all participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.
6. This promotion is only available within Cyprus between 1.06.2024 and 31.07.2024 with possibility to extend. The Promoter gets the right to extend the promotion in case of necessity. The Promoter is free of any obligations to extend the promotion.
7. Complimentary check, clean and firmware update promotion in Cyprus is executed by official Canon CEE service partner “Doros Neophytou Camera Repairs” with address Ayiou Demetriou 28B, Strovolos, Cyprus.
8. The promotion is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the promotion on offer.
9. If a fault is identified with your product during your requested Maintenance Service, the Canon Service & Repair Centre will contact you to either request a copy of your proof of purchase to validate your Canon warranty (if not already provided) or, if your product is no longer covered by its Canon warranty, to discuss chargeable repair options (i.e. fixed price repair, repair limit or time & cost estimate). There is no repair warranty on subsequent faults not identified during Maintenance Service.
10. “The Promote identifies the time necessary for providing the gift. Depending on the type of services rendered as a gift, the time necessary for the services might be different. The Promote will inform the Participant of it separately.”.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
In order to participate in the Promotion, the Participant must be a member of Canon Professional Services (CPS) and provide CPS member number. In case the participant is not CPS member, they can register to CPS using this link: https://www.canon.com.cy/pro/canon-professional-services/.
THE PRIZE
Complimentary camera check, clean and firmware update includes these services: cleaning of the image sensor, mirror (if applicable), focus screen (if applicable), external LCD surfaces and camera body. Checking of moving parts (buttons, dials, latches), operation of hot shoe, internal flash, memory card insertion and removal, lens attachment and removal camera/lens communication, operation of terminals and sockets, internal error messages, tightness of external screws, video functions. Exposure and shutter speed are also checked using an image test. Verification of camera shutter count and firmware version. Updating of firmware if applicable and requested by you.
PERSONAL DATA
Canon CEE GmbH, Oberlaaer Straße 233, 1100 Vienna, Austria, is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the country of the data subject’ domiciles. The personal data collected from Participants is subject to the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy https://myid.canon/canonid/#/policy.
Any and all personal data supplied for the running of the Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of the Promotion and, if applicable, for marketing purposes by the Canon Group and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion on behalf of the Promoter and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose unless your positive consent has been obtained.
Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the prize or in the event that Canon Group wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the prize.
DISCLAIMER
In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this Promotion.
Canon together with any associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special, or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Canon Group’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the competition, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Entries must be made directly by the individual entering the competition. Bulk entries from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means together with entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms & Conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a Participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that Participant’s entries into the competition in a way that is not consistent with the rules of the competition, that Participant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize awarded will be void. Participants are not permitted to enter using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.
